Cape Coral Things to Do

There are so many Cape Coral things to do on your vacation that you won’t know where to start first, but wherever you start you’re sure of a fantastic time.

If you choose to vacation in Cape Coral you’ll never be short of things to do, and that’s a promise. There are just oodles of fun things to do for all the family, as you would expect in one of Florida’s holiday hot spots. Whether you’re the type who likes to get all energetic on holiday or floating down a lazy river is more your style, get yourself to Cape Coral, just look at some of the fantastic stuff waiting for you there.

With Cape Coral vacation rentals you can have a place to rest and recuperate between the many things there are to do. When you just want to take a nap (hey, it’s vacation!) or you want to just get away from the busy atmosphere of the touristy places, your vacation rental can feel like a sanctuary. With plenty of room to spread out and relax without worrying about running into other people, you might have troubles leaving your rental to see the sights. However, Florida does have some fun water parks to enjoy, so you’re likely to drag yourself out of bed anyway.

  • Sun Splash Family Waterpark – Florida is the home of great water parks, and Cape Coral is the home of the Sun Splash Family Water Park, one of the greatest of them all. You’re sure of a splashing time at Sun Splash, for all ages from 1 to 100. Dare you ride Cape Fear? Are you terrified of the Terror Tube? Is Thunder Bump appealing to you? If not, don’t panic, there’s always the Main Stream River Tube Ride for those who prefer it, and let’s be honest, apart from the severely crazy members of society, who wouldn’t rather relax and let the world float by as the little ones paddle about playing with water toys to their hearts content.
  • Eagle Skate Park – one of the best skate park facilities from Miami to Tampa is right here in Cape Coral, for those who prefer their fun on four wheels, rather than in the water.
  • Parks – there are loads of other parks too, where you can simply relax and take a picnic. Dogs aren’t allowed, but nobody gets left out at Cape Coral, they’ve got a park of their very own, the Wagging Tails Dog Park where mans best friend can meet up with some doggy pals, sniff bottoms and chase balls.
  • Coral Oaks Golf Course – for those who fancy chasing a ball themselves for 18 holes or so, there are great fantastic golf facilities at the Coral Oaks Golf Course, don’t forget your clubs.
  • Farmers Market – every Saturday morning there is the Cape Coral Chamber Farmers Market that’s just bursting with the freshest locally grown produce. Why not drop by, it’s a real experience not to be missed and especially you’re self catering. Find out what real Cape Coral food tastes like. There’s even live music for your entertainment. The most basic of chores are just so much more enjoyable in Cape Coral.
  • Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens isn’t far away and well worth the effort, it’s much easier than actually going to East Africa isn’t it? With the fantastic Dr Seuss Sculpture Gardens as well as a great selection of weird and wonderful animals, this prize winning Zoo will keep you captivated from the moment you arrive. "Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one." – Dr Seuss
  • Preserving the heritage of Cape Coral is the Cape Coral Historical Museum and Rose Garden. With loads of exhibits and some wonderful rose gardens to wander through, it’s a great place for those who prefer to take life at an altogether gentler pace.
