Cape Coral Water Parks
Water parks and Florida go hand in hand, and Cape Coral water parks are some of the very best.
Florida is world famous for its water parks, some might even say it’s the home of the water park, and Cape Coral is home to one of the greatest water parks of all, Sun Splash Family Water Park. This water park is non stop fun from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave in the evenings, as long as you have the energy to keep on climbing those steps you can have a splashing good time all day long. Of course, it’s not just for the young, crazy and energetic members of the family, (although there’s plenty to keep them occupied, believe you me), there’s also loads of stuff for toddlers, smaller children and those who prefer to take life at an altogether gentler pace.
Only For the Brave
Cape Fear – dare you travel from a height of 30 feet, for 215 feet in an inflated tube through a dark tunnel? They don’t call it Cape Fear for nothing you know, definitely not for the faint hearted.
The Electric Slide – one of the longest slides in Florida, dropping the equivalent of five storeys, an incredible 457 feet of twisting and turning, a whole 27 second drop into a plunge pool – you’ll probably see your entire life flashing before your eyes.
Thunder Bump – who thinks up these names? Anyway, if you’re scared of things that go bump in the night you’d better stay clear of Thunder Bump, even in broad daylight, the bumps in this baby give you the feeling of being airborne – out of control man, out of control?
X-Celerator – Fancy dropping down from 5 storeys high at around 40 feet per second on an open chute? You do? You must be crazy, but if you do then the X-Celerator is definitely the one for you.
For the Youngsters
One of the main problems with these water parks is that many of the "best" slides are only for people over 48" tall, and there’ll always be some member of the family who’s around 47" and spends the whole day wishing they could be taller. Well, at Sun Splash Family Water Park there are plenty of special slides for those who can’t quite make 48" without standing on a box, and they’re good fun too, and good practice for when they’ve grown that all important inch or two – maybe next year!
For the Tiny Tots
There’s plenty for the very youngest to enjoy, with shallow pools full of water toys and just a sprinkling of rain, enough to keep them cool on a hot summers day. Smother them in sun block, don’t forget the sun hat, add in the odd ice cream, sit back and leave them to it.
One for Everybody
If there’s one thing which is popular for people of all ages, it’s the Main Street River Tube Ride. What could be more relaxing than floating along the lazy river, round and round you go, how do you get off? That’s a different matter, don’t worry about that, just sit back and go with the flow in Cape Coral.
